Scope of this policy

This policy describes the current Wanderburg Field Guide website. It applies to the site’s pages and local search, not to the Wanderburg game, Steam accounts, or the developer’s services. The policy was reviewed on September 13, 2026.

Information used to deliver pages

The site is a static resource. It does not offer visitor accounts, a personal profile database, or a contact form. Ordinary web requests nevertheless reach the hosting provider, which may process an IP address, request time, requested path, browser information, and security-related logs to deliver and protect the service.

The application does not set a custom retention period for the hosting provider’s operational logs. Do not interpret the absence of an application database as a claim that network requests leave no record.

Search, cookies, and analytics

Search terms are matched in your browser against a downloaded static index. The application does not send your query text to a search service or save a search history. It does not currently install analytics, advertising cookies, or a visitor-tracking SDK.

Your browser and hosting provider may still maintain ordinary operational information. This policy does not claim that third-party services have the same practices as the site application.

Advertising is currently disabled

The configured advertising provider is none. No Adsterra code, ad requests, or tracking is active in this edition. Reserved integration files alone do not mean the network is in use.

If advertising is enabled later, the policy must be updated to explain the actual provider and relevant data use and choices before that change is presented as current practice. This paragraph does not consent to or activate a future service.

YouTube and other third-party media

The official launch trailer uses a click-to-play facade. Before you choose to play, the site does not load the video iframe. Playing it connects your browser to YouTube through its privacy-enhanced embed domain.

That connection can disclose technical request information, including your IP address, and YouTube’s own policies govern processing by its service. Privacy-enhanced mode is not a promise of anonymity or zero third-party data processing.

Your choices, updates, and contact

You can use the written guides without playing embedded media. Browser settings can limit cookies or other storage, and you can leave a third-party service without using it. There is no site account to delete and no site analytics preference to switch off in the current application.

Material changes to data use will be reflected in this policy and its review date. Contact details will be added through the site’s configured contact channel; no public inbox is currently available.
